We dropped into Singapore on our way back from Italy for a few nights adjustment with the specific goal of seeing The Marina bay Gardens. Of course there was the opportunity to wander the shops and take advantage of good cheap massages as well. Staying at The Stamford in Raffles City it was the perfect base to get around from and to enjoy the views from the top floor New Asia bar one of the best in Singapore.
. But the focus was on the Gardens and that was our first stop and it didn’t disappoint, simply spectacular what they have done. and any time we see a bull i have to be a Taurean and get a picture
The Marina Bay Sands dominates the skyline from almost every angle, but that is Ok, i like it’s quirkiness
The skywalk was freaky but fun swaying in the wind and giving a very different perspective.
The massive suspended baby sculpture by Jeff Koons was a standout
The living Trees were fascinating and still a work in progress
Inside the main dome was extraordinary with plants from every corner of the world.
Sculptures and plants go so well together.
The rainforest section and it’s waterfall over an amazing plant wall.
The skywalk down through the layers of eco climates was brilliant.
The Lion King !!!
Out for a fancy dinner at Equinox on the top floor of the Stamford Hotel
The view from our table over Marina bay, 69 floors up
all dressed up….
Looking down to where we were seated
Spectacular! Makes me want to plan a trip to Southeast Asia.
Wow ! Amazing photos 🙂
