Perth welcomed us with full sunshine so a trip down to Elizabeth Quay for a nice lunch at Amano restaurant was just the right antidote from the flight. There is plenty going on down there and as the new developments all come to an end the future is looking bright.

We wandered the streets of downtown Perth and found some interesting little alley ways including ye London Court before heading out to the Crown for my meeting and the awards night later. the Crown Towers complex was pretty impressive and we enjoyed the pool and the facilities.

The next day we went off to Cottesloe beach and had a swim before meeting friends Adam & Emma at the Blue Duck restaurant for a nice long lunch. Such a lovely location with plenty of lovely sand for miles but also plenty of wind

It was then off to Fremantle for a couple of nights and wow it was such an impressive Heritage listed town with so many old buildings either restored or being restored,

The Esplanade Hotel had such stunning Victorian era style and then everywhere was a treat of wonderful designs and styles from the mid 1850’s to mid 1950’s

Everywhere we walked and drove there were more and more examples of this wonderful period of architectural design

On our last night we enjoyed a fabulous meal at the outstanding Italian restaurant Nunzio’s as well as a fabulous bottle of Soave from the Veneto plains of Italy so a great way to Finnish off a nice little interlude.
